Joel Sartore: New Big 5 podcast
Joel Sartore is an American photographer for National Geographic and the founder of the Photo Ark, a 25-year project to document every species living in the world’s zoos and wildlife sanctuaries, sounding an alarm for endangered and disappearing species. He’s currently photographed around 10,000 of them.
In this podcast, we talk about Joel’s work to document the world’s disappearing species and how photography can help in the fight to save the world’s wildlife, as well as which animals are worst behaved in photo shoots. He also talks about his wife’s battle with cancer and how that set him on his path, how everyone can do something to make the world a better place, and the time he was attacked by a flesh-eating parasite.
