“The polar bear is my favourite animal to photograph. I’ve done 44 expeditions to Svalbard and seen more than 500 of these great animals in the wild in all seasons. Some of them have come on close distances and given me some great photo opportunities.
Polar bears are very intelligent and curious, and they live in an extreme environment. The beauty, personality and power of these animals is amazing.”
I actually have a project, Polar Bears and Humans, which is about changing from commercial trophy hunting of polar bears to ‘hunting’ with cameras with eco-tourism.
