Big 5s

“It’s hard to choose a single favourite animal. As I come into contact with the various animals I work with, I learn to appreciate and admire them, so my preferences are constantly changing. I’m fascinated by the wolf, which has recovered a little from its bad reputation. It was always demonized and a symbol of threat to man. It’s funny that our best friend is his descendant: the dog. On an aesthetic level, I also love horses and big cats.

But I’ll choose the snow leopard as my favourite. Lately, I’ve been very interested in the snow leopard, which I find a fascinating animal. It’s natural habitat is in the high mountains of the Himalayas and few people have seen them in the wild. That is why it is also known as the ‘grey ghost of the mountains.’

In Tibetan mythology, this animal is a sacred totem that has the ability to absorb the sins of one’s past lives, a ‘sin- eater, but whoever kills him will have all the sins he kept transferred to him. The snow leopard is also considered the guardian of all sacred animals and a link between the material and spiritual worlds.”
