“There is one animal that is so elusive that it makes you feel as if the jungle has eyes: the leopard.

Leopards fascinate me. They are the most mysterious and unpredictable cats. They can just blend with the surroundings, making you feel there is nothing there, so you will never know until they actually show. It always blows my mind seeing them climb, jump and hunt.

I still remember my sighting from the Maasai Mara, where Kabosa, a female leopard, hunted down an impala. She was right there, so perfectly camouflaged among the bushes, close to a small stream, that you couldn’t even sense her. As the impalas decided to cross, all it took her was precisely three jumps and she took the antelope down. 

Leopards are such remarkable animals.”
