Big 5s

“I’m a big feline person myself and my top favourite animal to want to see and photograph myself is the Clouded Leopard. 8 years ago I was part of a project that helped rehabilitate clouded Leopards back in to the wild and I totally fell in love with these cats, which are the biggest amongst the small cats or the smallest of the big cats, whichever way you want to look at it.

They are the evolutionary link between the two and a very ancient lineage found in the dense forested hills of north-eastern India and south-east asia. And even after multiple attempts, I’m yet to actually lay eyes on one in the wild. I’ve only ever managed to capture them on camera-trap. These images however exciting as they are, makes me want to see one with my own eyes.

I think the elusiveness of this cat draws me even closer to it & I’m still waiting for that day, that moment, that I actually see one in the wild.
