“Tigers. Definitely tigers. Photographing tigers is ripe with challenges, due to the elusive nature of the animal itself and the crowding and chaotic rules of India’s national parks. But I’ve been lucky enough to spend quiet moments on my own with these magnificent cats, including two months at a wild tiger den.

My tiger den project was truly one of the highlights of my career. Tigers are one of those animals whose beauty can literally take your breath away, and tiny, striped cubs are enough to make any wildlife lover ecstatic. With their ability to disappear and seemingly vanish into thin air, tigers also have this wonderful allure of mystery and magic. They are such special animals.”
